| Muffle furnace is used in almost all laboratories mainly for the determination of ash content tester, weight loss determination or volatile / non-volatile ashes of lubricants, petroleum products, food, chemicals, pigment, starch, paper products, minerals, etc. Sample can be burnt at high temperature e.g. above 500 deg. C up to 1000 deg. depending on test method’s requirements. The weight change compare to initial weight can be calculated and reported in %. |
